TopWare Interactive and Ukraine-based Black Wing Foundation have announced the development of Scivelation, an Unreal Engine 3 third-person action game set for release on Xbox 360 in Q3 2010.

Scivelation promises a cinematic gameplay experience set in a dystopian future with a story inspired by the works of Orwell, Milton and Dante. Gameplay is described as white-knuckled, with a blend of running, gunning, sneaking and driving in a host of post-apocalyptic locations.

Human civilization as we know it has ended at the hands of religious zealots desperate to bring about the Apocalypse. What remains of society has been homogenised into a single culture, to be governed by the Regime - a theocratic, worldwide government intent to rob mankind of its most meaningful symbols.

A scattered front of old believers, named heretics by the Regime, have resorted to violent mobilisation in order to carve out a niche where they might survive unmolested. In the midst of this turmoil are Dr. Elisha Amano, a disgruntled Regime scientist who helped develop a paradigm-shifting, post-human supervirus; and Mikhail Ivanov, a cyborg and former member of the Russian special forces who was stripped of his humanity fighting in the End Times.

As Mikhail, gameplay becomes that of a third-person shooter, using cover and tactics to gain an advantage. Players will also be able to utilise Mikhail's cybernetic enhancements including the ability to switch into a defensive state which makes him slower but allows him to take more damage.

When controlling Elisha gameplay becomes stealth focussed. Elisha's infusion of the Omega Virus has granted her many abilities that have completely changed her genetic makeup, including a chameleon state to perform stealth kills.

Scivelation is also in development for PC.

I dont know, with the right controls, it could be great.....

I have noticed UNREAL ENGINE 3 created games look beastly, but lack that fine tuned control polish that really draws you in on a unexplained level. Batman was great, GEARS was great, but still needed some diffrent gameplay I think. Became repedative.

Either way the game will look beautiful.
