Bot creators prevented from even discussing Jagex.
Jagex, the developer behind popular browser-based MMO RuneScape, has won a two-year legal battle against iBot developers.
RuneScape had been under threat by macro and bot software over the past few years. However, the recent judgement passed against bot developers Mark and Eric Snellman of Impulse Software has resulted in the company being ordered to pay Jagex damages.
An additional injunction has been placed on Impulse Software, preventing them from developing software relating to all current and future Jagex products, helping others to develop bot software, and even discussing Jagex.
Last year the firm issued a statement revealing its plans to take legal action against the creation and use of bots in the MMO, many of which were designed to farm gold in-game, fight enemies to gain XP, or craft without the need of a human player.
