Reservoir Dogs News

For:PC  Also On: PS2Xbox Release Date: 2006

Australia's Office of Film and Literature Classification has refused to classify the Reservoir Dogs videogame.

The move by the OFLC means the video game will not be allowed to go on sale, and Atari who holds the publishing rights for the territory is not thought to be planning to resubmit the game in an edited form. An Atari rep telling APCstart said: "That's the end of the matter."

In Australia the highest rating available is an MA15+, and if a game fails to fall under this classification, either an edited version needs to be submitted or the title simply won't go on sale. Other titles to suffer bans as a result of failing to gain a classification include GTA III, Manhunt, and Marc Ecko's Getting Up. In the UK a game can be granted various ratings, the highest of which is the BBFC 18.

Reservoir Dogs for PC, PS2 and Xbox is currently scheduled for release across Europe in the autumn.
