Codemasters is hard at work on new entries in its Operation Flashpoint, DiRT and GRID franchises, SVP of production Jamie Macdonald has said.

"We've got a major launch with F1 coming up in September and developed at our Birmingham studio, and we hope to draw new IP from there," Macdonald told develop. "Our Guildford studio is working hard on Bodycount, and we will be looking to to take that franchise further and further with the addition of more IP.

"In Southam it's full steam ahead with the next iteration in our Flashpoint series, as well as the next Dirt and Grid. It'll be interesting to see how it all pans out."

Codemasters' ambition is further shown by its plans to expand each of its studios.

"We are currently in the middle of a major recruitment drive across all three of those sites," said VP of studios Gavin Cheshire. "There will be major expansion in that sense over the coming year."

GRID is about time. I found the first one to be very good. I don't think I will bother with DiRT 3 but I will be keeping my eyes on Flashpoint 2.

As long a Grid ain't as twitchy , Dirt not as Yankyfied & Flashpoint gets some lengthier playtime online codies could do really well.
