GRID demo scores one million downloads

European Fastest Lap Challenge still going for a chance to win a BMW.

Codemasters has announced that the Race Driver: GRID playable demo has notched up over one million downloads since it was made available on May 8, 2008.

The console demo is also your gateway to winning a real life BMW 3 Series car. The European Fastest Lap Challenge will conclude on May 23 so there's still time to enter your fastest lap. The leader currently stands at 1:13.63 and the top 5 racers on Friday May 23 will face off on Friday, May 30 at zavvi store, Oxford Street, London as part of the game's European launch day celebrations.

Race Driver: GRID is scheduled for release on May 30 for Xbox 360, PS3 and PC, with the Nintendo DS version to follow at a later date. Look for our review next week.

peoopl	0 0 In response to Article » Go to 's original post My god this game is great.It may not have the best graphics ever.But the sense of realism,It feels like your really driving.Not the Forza or GT style of absolute unforgiving perfection.It seems to have a perfect balance between these games and Burnout revenge.No slopping around corners like the NFS model.I've driven real cars in real race situations.This game makes you forget your playing a game.It has captured that feeling you get when you slide your mustang sideways almost to the point of breaking loose and pull it out at the last second kind of thing.You get that ,"don't even think about it response when your competitor shoves past you.This is the next best thing to the real thing.
