Prey 2 announced by Bethesda

Due for release in 2012 on 360, PS3 and PC.

Prey 2 is officially in the works, Bethesda has confirmed today, and will be released on 360, PS3 and PC sometime in 2012.

Original developer Human Head Studios is returning, and a press release states that Prey 2 "is being built on the cutting edge id tech engine from id Software." A Bethesda representative would not confirm to VideoGamer.com if that meant the game would be running on the id tech 5 engine, which is being used to power the upcoming Rage.

In his 7/10 review way back in July 2006, Tom Orry said Prey makes for a "fun ride" and that the "the foundation has been set for a strong series."

Put it this way, it was on sale on steam for a fiver and they ran out of keys in less than a day.

It's a decent game. Drags a bit towards the end but worth playing.
