The intellectual property rights to open-world voxel game Outcast have been re-acquired by the game’s original developers Appeal S.A..

Yann Robert, Franck Sauer and Yves Grolet have signed and closed an asset purchase agreement with Atari Europe regarding the game franchise.

The studio has started the revival of the franchise and will “soon” announce further developments.

Outcast was released back in 1999, but Appeal went bankrupt during the development of a sequel.
