Not quite the ultimate collection some had been hoping for.
The majority of the DLC for the Mass Effect games will not be included in this November's Mass Effect Trilogy, BioWare has confirmed.
PC gamers appear to get the best deal on DLC. Mass Effect 1 comes with Bring Down the Sky and Pinnacle Station add-ons. Mass Effect 2 comes with Cerberus Network (unlocks the squadmate Zaeed, plus some extra missions and weapons). And with Mass Effect 3 you get online pass.
On Xbox 360 you get none of the Mass Effect 1 DLC, but you will get Cerberus Network for Mass Effect 2 and the Online Pass for Mass Effect 3. PS3 details are still to be announced.
The Mass Effect Trilogy will be released in the US on November 6 for Xbox 360 and PC, with PS3 later in the year. There's still no word on the trilogy coming to the UK.
It would have been nice for the trilogy to be the ultimate set, including all DLC, but it appears EA and BioWare believes selling the content separately is the best option.
