Microsoft's upcoming motion-sensing technology Natal "certainly could" work with the type of games BioWare is famous for, the developer has said.

BioWare boss man Dr. Ray Muzyka told VideoGamer.com that if the Mass Effect and Dragon Age developer did make a Natal-compatible game, it would "approach it from a fresh perspective and design a game around the mechanic of the controller".

"It [Natal] certainly could [work with classic BioWare games]," he said.

"We'd want to approach it from a fresh perspective and design a game around the mechanic of the controller. It's so different. In the same way the best Wii games embrace the control mechanic as part of the core design. It remains to be seen what kind of Natal games will come out. It will be very cool. The best ones will probably approach it as a core part of the game as opposed to an add-on or an afterthought."

Microsoft unveiled Project Natal during its E3 press conference in July. While it promises to deliver unprecedented motion sensing features, some gamers have questioned whether controller-less gameplay can work well with more traditional game genres.

"It might be easier to design it from the ground up as the core mechanic," Muzyka added.

"If we were doing it, that's what we would do to push it. But other developers might be able to think of ways to integrate it into an existing mechanic. It remains to be seen."

Muzyka's already said BioWare would consider creating a FPS RPG and implementing multiplayer into its future games. Now, could a BioWare-made Natal-game be on the cards?

Could Natal work with future Mass Effect and Dragon Age games? Let us know in the comments section below.

It's not only hands though there's apparantly voice recognition and facial recognition. Which chould mean you get to interact in a round about way with the game characters. I want to see that happen before I believe it though!
