EA to publish following an agreement which has been struck with Microsoft.
The inevitable has happened. EA has announced it is to publish Mass Effect for PC in May 2008. The award-winning space action adventure title has been redesigned for the PC platform by BioWare, offering optimised controls, higher quality visuals, a new decryption mini-game and a new inventory - making it easier for players to equip and modify their weapons and armour.
Also new is the ability to assign biotic powers and skills to hot keys, meaning menu access won't be required. This is said to create a more run and gun style of play with a heavier focus on action.
AdvertisementThe announcement also shed some light on the future of the Mass Effect franchise, BioWare vp Ray Muzyka noting: "EA has struck an agreement with Microsoft to handle future publishing for Mass Effect. We are looking forward to releasing Mass Effect on the PC this Spring and brand new titles in the future."
New titles in the Mass Effect franchise are certainly coming, but the details aren't clear. Does this mean EA will release future games on multiple platforms or does Microsoft still have its hand in the pot? Ok Anyone have an idea on minimum specs for this as i would actually like to play this and don't have a 360.

No info on specs just yet, but it's an Unreal Engine 3 game so should run well on a moderate system. Something around a GF 7600 or better will probably be ok when coupled with a any dual core CPU.

Another Halo milking out the crappy game like gears or war omg just trying to make money. soon this game will hit file sharing website and most people will download instaed of wasting their hard earned money.

i always wanted this game for the pc, why?
FOR THE MODS!!!
the KOTOR mods where great and mass effect should hopefully be no difference.
but this means i need a new computer sooner, i was going to wait until far cry 2 had a set release date but now as mass effect comes out in may then i have less time to get the money together...
and i was hopeing to save up for a super mega top of the range computer, damn
well theres always the lottery to win, that will get me the money
