Popular Korean MMO MapleStory was hacked last week, putting over three-quarters of its Korean fanbase at risk of having their personal information compromised.

IDs, names, passwords, and residential registration numbers were affected, however they remained encrypted. Its publisher has urged users to change their passwords since this security breach.

Users outside of Korea remain untargeted, due to regional server locks, Kotaku has reported.

Nexon recently announced the next triple-stage update for the European version of the MMO is set to take place next month, including a re-balancing of classes, enhanced skills, a new crafting system, and PvP mode.
