Fur shading coming soon to Lost Planet

DirectX 10 able PC gamers are in for a visual treat.

An official announcement is expected shortly, but Brian Dunn over on Capcom's Lost Planet blog has revealed some early info regarding some new graphical features which are being implemented thanks to DirectX 10.

According to Dunn the programmers have been hard at work learning the ins-and-outs of Microsoft's latest API and have now been able to "harness some extra performance".

Thanks to the extra performance the programmers have implemented better depth of field effects, improved motion blur and some new fur shading.

Hopefully the patch won't be too far off as the new effects look very impressive.
