Trailer makes debut on Xbox LIVE Marketplace.
Capcom has today announced Lost Planet 2, the sequel to the popular action title first released on Xbox 360 back in January 2007 - versions for PC and PS3 followed at later dates.
According to Capcom, as of July 16, 2008, the Lost Planet franchise had sold over two-million copies.
The sequel is set after events of the first game and because of the massive changes in climate players can expect a host of new environments, including jungles. The sequel will also introduce cooperative play and the story will be told from the perspective of several Snow Pirate factions.
The trailer features lots of gameplay footage and to our eyes is looking great - Capcom's creating the game using the 2.0 version of its multi-platform MT-FrameWork engine.
Although making its debut on Xbox LIVE Marketplace, there appears to be no indication that the game will be an Xbox 360 exclusive - presumably it'll be hitting Xbox 360, PS3 and PC.
While the trailer is listed on the internet version of XBL Marketplace, it doesn't currently appear to be available to download.
