UK Video Game Chart: The toys are back in town

To infinity and beyond for Disney's movie tie-in.

GfK ChartTrack reports that Toy Story 3 saw a 78 per cent rise in sales week-on-week to claim the UK video game chart No.1 spot.

Rockstar Games' Red Dead Redemption climbed two places to No.2, moving Ubisoft's Dance on Broadway down a spot to No.3, followed by Lego Harry Potter and Tiger Woods PGA Tour 11.

The week's only new entry is Square Enix/Nintendo's Dragon Quest IX new at No.9, while Microsoft's Xbox 360 exclusive Crackdown 2 slumps from the top spot all the way down to No.10.

There's next to no chance that the toys will hold at at the top next week, not with Blizzard's StarCraft II hitting stores tomorrow. Expect records to be smashed.

Don't make your kids grow up playing easy games.

I remember playing Links Awakening as a child and having so much fun, I played it not to long ago and almost threw my Gameboy out the window due to how hard it is. I never had problems with having to press buttons on it intead of waggling my gameboy either.

No, I think if the game is a quality one it can mean that there is a good version on the Wii too. Besides, do I want sticky fingers all over my PS3 pad?

Gotta say PB I disagree, just because it's the Wii doesn't mean its best for kids, most likely it just means the game will be crappy. I tell ya back when I was a nipper I had traditional control pads for my MegaDrive and I was able to make my way around a game of Shinobi without any problems ;)

Does anyone know how good the Wii graphics are on Toy Story 3? I want to get it on either PS3 or Wii, PS3 will obviously be better graphically but the Wii will have the best control method for the kids to use.
