Eidos Interactive has announced a deal with Valve Software to distribute games via the Steam digital delivery service.
Eidos follows in the footsteps of publishers including Activision, Majesco and 2K Games, each having embraced Steam.
Eidos isn't hanging around either, with a flurry of its titles hitting Steam at the same time as the announcement was made. Already available are Battlestations: Midway, Hitman: Blood Money, Hitman 2: Silent Assassin, Hitman: Codename 47, Just Cause, Commandos: Strike Force, Commandos: Men of Courage, Commandos: Destination Berlin and Commandos: Behind Enemy Lines.
As an introductory offer all the games have a 10% price reduction until March 26. Later this year Eidos plans to release Championship Manager 2007 and several Tomb Raider titles, including the upcoming Tomb Raider: Anniversary.
