Hellgate: London might charge for extra online mode

Flagship Studios CEO Bill Roper has revealed that a paid subscription might be required to experience the full Hellgate: London game.

Speaking to Shacknews, Roper said that there is a chance that an MMO-style subscription will be required if users want to get the most out of his studio's upcoming game, Hellgate: London. This is, however, only an option, with the final decision still to be made by the developer and its publishing partners, EA and Namco Bandai.

Roper also notes that even if a subscription model is used, the game will offer some form of free online game - albeit one with less features.

Hellgate: London is currently expected to be released in the summer.
