In the midst of Half-Life 2: Episode One excitement Valve has updated Steam with some new features.

You're probably already aware that the much anticipated Half-Life 2: Episode One was released yesterday, but some updates made to the Steam service may have gone unnoticed.

Valve has moved the friends feature from Beta testing to the final release, the backup function is now a bit quicker and more reliable, and some new bits and bobs have been added to the Source engine enabling it to support some new unspecified features.
