Valve Software's Doug Lombardi has confirmed that the developer is aiming for an April 24 release for its long awaited expansion to Half-Life 2.
Aftermath will have been almost a year and half in the waiting if the April 24 release is met, having slipped from its previous launch date of November 2005. The expansion will be available both at retail and via Valve's Steam download service for $19.99. EA will also be distributing all boxed versions of the Half-Life 2: Platinum Edition complete with Aftermath.
The Platinum package is now set to include Half-Life 2, Half-Life 2: Aftermath, Half-Life 2 Deathmatch, Counter-Strike: Source, and Day of Defeat: Source. At this time EA has not released details on the retail price for the new Platinum package.
