NCsoft announces Guild Wars Nightfall

Guild Wars Nightfall has been revealed as the third title in the Guild Wars franchise.

ArenaNet and NCsoft have announced Guild Wars Nightfall, the third game in the Guild Wars series. It has also been announced that the game is already well into development - so much so that it has already entered the beta testing stage. A special PvP first-look event for existing Guild Wars players is scheduled to take place from July 28 through to July 31.

During this event players of Prophecies and Factions will be given the opportunity to take a look at the latest game in the series, including taking a gander at the two new professions being introduced to the game: the Dervish, a scythe-wielding holy warrior, and the Paragon, guardian angel of the Elonian people. Players will also be able to compete for items that can later be exchanged for a variety of rewards.

The Guild Wars Nightfall PvP Preview begins on Friday, July 28 at 09:00 CET and will continue through Monday, July 31 to 08:59 CET. For more information regarding this special event, be sure to visit http://guildwars.com.
