NCsoft opens China based subsidiary

NCsoft has announced the opening of NCsoft China, a subsidiary based in Shanghai, China.

The new company comes as a result of NCsoft's acquisition of a 51% stake in NC Sina, which was a joint venture between NCsoft and Sina.com formed in 2003. NCsoft China is now a wholly owned subsidiary of NCsoft and strengthens the company's development and publishing power in the Chinese game market.

As well as providing services for existing games created by NCsoft, NCsoft China will also develop and publish new games designed to appeal to the interests of Chinese gamers.
