Guild Wars Factions Championship

NCsoft and ArenaNet have announced the Guild Wars Factions Championship, which is scheduled to begin next month.

The games begin on March 7 and will be played over three seasons, with each season comprising of four weeks of guild vs. guild ladder action. On the completion of each season the top 16 guilds will be invited to the seasonal playoffs where they will compete for Playoff Points. At the end of the third season the five guilds with the highest Playoff Points total will be awarded an invitation to the Guild Wars Factions Championship.

The Championship will take place in August and has a $100,000 prize purse. You can get more details, including a schedule of events, over on the official Guild Wars website.
