Guild Wars 2 name reservation deadline approaches

You've got until July 31 to transfer your character names from the original Guild Wars.

Players of the original Guild Wars who wish to transfer their characters' names over to Guild Wars 2 need to do so by July 31, ArenaNet has announced.

To reserve your characters' names all you need to do is log into your Guild Wars account, and then create a character with the same name in Guild Wars 2 during the Headstart Access period or on launch day. After this period all unclaimed character names will be freed up for other players to claim.

Guild Wars 2 launches on PC on August 28.
