GTA 4 passes 22 million units shipped

Red Dead Redemption reaches 12.5 million units shipped.

Grand Theft Auto IV has shipped more than 22 million units since its release in April 2008. The shipment figure came from Take-Two boss Strauss Zelnick during a talk at ThinkEquity's Growth conference. The GTA franchise has now reached more than 114 million units shipped.

Back in March Take-Two revealed that the game had shipped just shy of 20 million units. Since that date Red Dead Redemption has risen from 8 million units shipped to 12.5 million units.

Talk of the devil! I seem to recall someone saying this was their favourite game of the generation last night ;) It's not that good, but it's still a great game and deserves that many sales for being able to appeal to the CoD crowd at the same time as being relevant to us lot.

People still come and buy GTA4 from our store on a daily basis. The episodes are quite popular and the complete edition is becoming like gold dust.
