UK Video Game Chart: Ashes 2009 is No.1
Is Codemasters' first chart topper since Brian Lara International Cricket 2005.
GfK ChartTrack reports that Codemasters' Ashes Cricket 2009 has entered the UK All Formats All Prices video game chart at No.1.
The game is Codemasters' first All Formats No.1 since Brian Lara International Cricket 2005, but a strong marketing push has seen Ashes Cricket 2009 outsell it by almost three to one in their respective debut weeks.
Sales of Wii Sports Resort are down 49%, and although the game slips to No.2 it is still well ahead of the chasing pack. Wii Fit and Tiger Woods PGA Tour 10 each slip one place to No.3 and No.4 respectively, while Fight Night Round 4 is a non-mover at No.5.
Elsewhere the week's big climber is Disney's G-Force which jumps 18 places in its second week and breaks into the Top 10 at No.9.
While we can't see a new release challenging at the top next week, you can expect a solid new entry from EA's Madden NFL 10.

Ashes 09 is the second game to do that now.
COD4, still in the top 20. A new milestone for the game arriving soon?
