PEGI website lists release date for today.

Final Fantasy 7 could be released on PC as early as today.

PEGI's website lists a release date of August 14 2012. Square hasn't made any official announcement, but with the company making an appearance at Gamescom, there's a chance we could hear something soon.

The new PC version features Steam achievements and new character boosters.

I've been trying to buy it, but the transaction keeps failing. I blame Square Enix, because their store is quite terrible at the best of times, and is no doubt really busy at the moment.

Update, just got an email from Squenix confirming that FFVII is now available from their online store: https://store.eu.square-enix.com/eme...ANTASY-VII.php (£7.99)

Still not on Steam though, just checked again.

My only question is 'is it coming out on current gen consoles?'. It's a long shot but if the PC is getting a version it seems logical for current gen to benefit from it too. My wallet is prepared and waiting.

The only Final Fantasy currently on Steam is XI, I just checked.
