FIFA 09 Review

PC FIFA fans have wanted a little more effort put into their version for years and finally the moaning and commitment to the series has paid off. FIFA 09 is the best FIFA the PC has seen in years.

Same shockingly bad last gen gameplay, AI and bugs but with extras like not being able to assign defensive moves to my controller or change my assigned kick takers. A complete waste of time I took it straight back to shops and with a bit of persuasion managed to get a refund. Looks like PES09 is gonna win for me this year on PC. 1/10 Reply

nick	0 0 In response to Article » Go to 's original post ill be buying it. ive got a good video card i just bought. i dont understand how i can play call of duty 4 on high settings and i can even play fifa 09 demo on high settings. weird. gameplay looks the same as it was before, just some tackling changes. Now im waiting for PES 2009. Though i had the problem of the game running slowly and even hanging up sometimes, all I did was lower the SFX volume and the game was running smoothly. I am now hooked to it. Reply

Anon	0 0 In response to Article » Go to 's original post I've been outcast from the soccer scene (and indeed the gaming scene) now for a couple of years - destined to a life of drugdery and numbness. That's all about to change though, as I just bought FIFA 09 (waiting for delivery) and am eagerly looking forward to PES 09. I was always more of a PES man, so I can't wait to see what the difference will be like between the two. Reply

G	0 0 In response to Article » Go to 's original post I HATE FIFA. Been playing it for years (FIFA 97 on) It's only improved graphics wise, even on the Xbox 360. Gameplay is awful. Player AI is non-existent. Infuriating to play as nobody makes runs and defensive positioning and tracking is shockingly bad. The XBOX 360 even awarded the CPU a goal when I scored against it!!! (No, it wasn't an own goal). Commentary has got worse year after year too. Has no relevance to the gameplay anymore. DO NOT BUY THIS!!! Reply
