F.E.A.R. was released to the world today, but before you get gaming we suggest you install the new patch.

F.E.A.R. is one of the year's most anticipated games, and has finally made it onto store shelves, but it would seem that a few little bugs slipped through testing and into the retail game. As we saw with Black & White 2 last week, a patch has been released on the day the game reaches retail. This time though we are only talking 20Mb unlike the massive 100Mb patch for Black & White 2.

The patch updates the game to version 1.01 and fixes a number of single-player and multiplayer bugs. One of the most notable fixes prevents players from falling under a map when pressing escape while climbing a ladder. There is no information on whether the patch will void all game saves, so just patch the game before you play to be on the safe side.

You can get the patch from 3dgamers.
