Crytek in talks to bring the platinum-selling franchise to movie theatres.
Speaking exclusively to Kotaku, Cevat Yerli, co-founder, president and CEO of game developer Crytek, has revealed a Crysis movie is very much a possibility.
"A Crysis movie is definitely planned," said Yerli. "We are in active talks already. I think we will close this topic before the end of this year."
Unlike Far Cry, which Yerli describes as a featuring a B-movie story line, Crysis is much more story driven and as such should translate much easier to the big screen.
The Uwe Boll Far Cry movie, B-movie story included, should be arriving in theatres in 2009. Despite his track record of poor video game to movie adaptations, Yerli believes licensing the Far Cry license to the German director was a good business decision.
"I would say he is financially successful," said Yerli. "Critically, sure, they're not the best movies, but he knows that, too."

OH GOD NO.
Cevat Yerli DONT do it! Dont make that monster of a man butcher a good storyline into something a 10 year old would understand.

yh i would love it
as long as they dont absolutly ruin it.
I dunno but they might squeze too much in, in too little time.
if its a nice long film and is actually a adult film, and not a stupid children film (im thinking along the lines of a 18) then yh it will be good
