However, Xbox 360 Achievements are mostly complete.
Speaking to VideoGamer.com at a recent roundtable interview in London, Bethesda Softworks vice president Pete Hines was unable to confirm if its upcoming post apocalyptic RPG Fallout 3 would feature PS3 Trophy support.
"I don't know. I can't tell you for sure whether or not we'll have them or not," said Hines.
AdvertisementIt's a different story regarding Xbox 360 Achievements though, with Hines confirming that they are "mostly complete".
"... we still like to mess with that stuff sometimes in late stages, just in terms of 'yeah it's taking a little too long to get this one', which is why we didn't want anybody to look at them, because I wouldn't want you guys putting something out that we then changed and is completely different," said Hines. "Yeah, they're largely in there and there's some really good ones in there... some that I rather enjoy."
Hines also explained why Achievements in Fallout 3 will feel very different to those in its previous title, The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion.
"I actually think the achievements that we had in Oblivion were really good in terms of being the 'cookie crumbs down the path' that you always felt that you were just this far from getting another one, which is what I really liked about it," said Hines. "Fallout is a bit different, because we don't have all these guilds to progress you along, to give you achievements for each one. We do a number of different things. First of all it's impossible... No, it is. It's got to be. It's impossible to get them all on one play through, so you have to play through the game multiple times to get it."
Fallout 3 is scheduled for release on PC, Xbox 360 and PS3 this autumn.

i dont see why not. trophies are very easy to implement, and they definitely extend a games life. Im re going over Uncharted and there is no desernible difference to Xbox's Achievements. so if they aren't pout in then it just shows laziness.

I agree with Enoss88 100%. I got the survival kit and iv played threw fallout 1,2,tatitcs,and that lame 1 on ps2 , but with out trophies it ruined the reason i got a ps3 just get it over with and add the trophies and make us all happy please u will male more money with the trophies i promise u ...

If they dont give us Trophie support than they are just lazy, I mean they said that the 360 version will get extensive DLC exclusivly, the least they can do is give us some ****ing trophies

Yeh, sony sometime takes the piss but they stilcan come up wioth good ideas but if they do not put trophies in Fallout 3 then what ae people gonna think about there ideas?
