Unique user log-ins up by 150%.

The decision to turn MMO Everquest into a free-to-play experience appears to be paying off for Sony Online Entertainment, if new stats released by the publisher are any indication.
Since going free-to-play there has been a 150 per cent rise in unique user log-ins and over three times the number of account registrations compared to the subscription model. There has also been a 125 per cent rise in item sales and a 40 per cent jump in concurrent users.
Everquest launched 13 years ago in 1999 and went free-to-play last month.
