EverQuest II: Age of Discovery launch date announced

Coincides with F2P date.

EverQuest II's upcoming expansion, Age of Discovery, has been announced to release December 6, according to SOE.

This will coincide with its change-over to free-to-play as well as the Freeport Reborn update, on the same day.

The upcoming expansion is said to include a new dungeon maker that allows players to create dungeon map layouts and spawn mobs, as well as the inclusion of Mercenaries, and a newly revamped Freeport.

The game's executive producer David Georgeson stated earlier in the year that the team was focusing on cultivating more personality in the game, with potential influence from Game of Thrones.
