Empire: Total War confirmed for March 4

Minimum system requirements also revealed.

SEGA has today announced that the highly anticipated Empire: Total War, the next iteration in the acclaimed RTS series, will be shipped to stores in North America and Canada from March 3 and will be available to buy in stores worldwide from March 4.

Gamers concerned that their PC won't be up to the task come March 3 now have a basis from which to judge their rig, with SEGA having officially confirmed the game's minimum system requirements.

Operating System: Windows XP 32(service pack 2), Windows Vista 32 OS.
Processor: 2.4 GHz Single Core Intel or AMD equivalent processor.
System Memory: 1GB RAM (XP) 2GB RAM (Vista).
Graphics Card: 256MB DirectX 9.0c compatible video card (shader 2.0 or higher).
Sound Card: Directx9.0c compatible sound card.
Peripherals: Windows compatible mouse & keyboard.
Hard drive space: 15 GB free uncompressed hard drive space.

I would love to get into games like this but my PC is so old I don't even know if I could run Medieval: Total War. And I can't be bothered to upgrade; it's just one reason why I much prefer consoles to computers for gaming.
