Free up software activations hassle-free.
EA has released a De-Authorisation Management Tool for PC gamers who own one of their many SecuROM managed games, such as Mass Effect and Dead Space.
The tool will allow gamers to de-authorise an install and then take the freed software installation and use it elsewhere (another PC or a fresh install). This should significantly reduce the hassle associated with EA's SecuROM titles.
Games supported by the tool:
- Burnout Paradise: The Ultimate Box
- Command & Conquer: Red Alert 3
- Crysis Warhead
- Dead Space
- FIFA Manager 09
- FIFA Soccer 09
- Littlest Pet Shop
- The Lord of the Rings: Conquest
- Mass Effect
- Mercenaries 2: World in Flames
- Mirror's Edge
- MySims
- Need for Speed: Undercover
- NHL 09
- Spore
- Spore Creature Creator
- The Sims 2: Apartment Life
- The Sims 2 IKEA Home Stuff
- The Sims 2 Mansion & Garden Stuff
Last week The Sims series executive producer Rod Humble revealed that The Sims 3 will be released DRM free. Instead the game will feature disc-based copy protection and a serial key.
