The Finals is facing a bit of division online at the moment cause of impending changes to the Light class. While this is a very divisive subject, fans should still be excited about what the game does and could offer in the future. A fan has shared an amazing player cards concept and it turns out this is something that could actually be in development for The Finals.
As mentioned, war is currently happening online over upcoming Light changes mentioned in The Finals update 2.5.0 patch notes. Satirically ‘leaked’ patch notes for next week are a perfect embodiment of the division online, and there is still the issue of an unbelievable bug for spectators yet to be fixed, too.
While the above are examples of current issues with the game and division online, many fans at least agree with this amazing concept of player cards. Embark regularly listens to the community, and it’s something that could actually happen judging by the game’s current status.
The Finals player cards concept
Reddit user CornDoggy has shared some fantastic fan art of in-game player cards for The Finals. It is amazing concept art as it shows how the player cards would look and act on the menu and how you could create your own player card.
To summarize, you’d be able to create your own player card by customizing the pose of your character and the background of the card. There is also the idea of adding more unlockable backgrounds for player cards in the battle pass rewards.
In addition to player cards, the concept art includes the addition of a banner, too. The career banner would theoretically change color depending on the background of your chosen contestant. You can check out the great concept art down below:
Most of the replies unanimously agree that the fan art looks amazing and very professional. A comment says ‘Bro it is so sick, I love it,’ echoed by comments such as ‘I like this very much’ and ‘Best idea on the subreddit so far’.
What makes this concept art especially good is that fans believe it is actually plausible and possibly happening. The top reply says ‘Honestly I think it’s something they are working on. The basic one we have now which is just a snapshot of your intro doesn’t cut it, and only seems logical that they would introduce them’.
Another user replied ‘Yes, this is very common in iterative development. You bring in a basic feature and plan several iterations ahead, I also guess that the current player cards will be enhanced in season 3’. Lastly, one user humorously replied ‘No doubt they’re working on it, flexing on your enemies through player cards is going to cause massive psychological damage’.
