F.E.A.R. developer Monolith is working on an open-world action-adventure title targeted at both current and next-gen consoles, a job ad for the studio has revealed.

According to the ad, the Warner Bros. subsidiary is currently seeking a senior producer with experience in "Open World Action/Adventure games" to work on "a large AAA quality product shipping on Next-Gen and Current Gen platforms simultaneously"

Judging by a LinkedIn entry from the studio's lead software engineer Piotr Mintus, the game will likely be built using Monolith's LithTech Engine, as used in the developer's previous titles F.E.A.R. 2: Project Origin and No One Lives Forever 2.

Mintus states that Monolith was "one of the first studios in the world to be running a game on the PlayStation 4 alpha kits," and whose engine has been updated with "tessellation and geometry shader support", presumably to take advantage of next-gen consoles.

Monolith's most recent game, Guardians of Middle-earth, launched in December.

An open-world No One Lives Forever title... that would make me buy a console, no question!
