Valve has announced that beginning Thursday, April 8, Activision's Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 will be free to play in multiplayer on Steam.

The game will remain free to play all weekend.

In order to get the most from the free time you can pre-load the game now, ensuring you're ready and raring to go from the off.
