To be released on Xbox LIVE and PlayStation Network in the spring.
Activision and Infinity Ward have announced that new multiplayer maps for the multi-million selling Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare are currently in development for both Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.
"We've demonstrated our commitment to delivering the best multiplayer experience in Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare and that continues with our plans for new downloadable content," explained Infinity Ward's Community Manager, Robert Bowling aka Fourzerotwo. "We're excited about the new maps, and the added gameplay variety, and we can't wait to wrap things up and get online with everyone."
Expect further details on the new maps over the coming weeks as their spring release approaches.
There's no word on the new content being released for PC players, but the keyboard and mouse brigade can update their game to version 1.5 - offering fixes/improvements to the multiplayer experience.

Its BS that the maps aren't being released on the PC, its just as big as the 360 community. this is the second count of being singled out of an option, EX. prestiege mode
