Activision and Infinity Ward have announced the release of a Windows PC update for Call of Duty 2.
The latest update includes PunkBuster anti-cheat software and two new multiplayer maps: Rhine and the community favourite Harbor. Rhine features plenty of blown-out buildings for cover, while Harbor should be recognisable by all Call of Duty veterans, as it first appeared in the original PC game.
"We're excited to deliver today's PC download to our ardent Call of Duty 2 fans," said Grant Collier, president, Infinity Ward. "We recognize the level of enthusiasm that our fans have for the Call of Duty 2 experience, which is why it's important to us to continue providing the content and tools that continue to deliver the type of Call of Duty action gamers crave."
Infinity Ward also plans to release MOD tools in the coming weeks, giving fans of the game the ability to create new content. The tools will feature the map making tool Radiant, as well as Maya plug-ins, giving users the ability to build single-player and multiplayer maps and missions.
You can find the latest update over at the official Call of Duty 2 website.
