For:PC  Also On: Xbox 360 Release Date: 4 November 2005

A new patch for Call of Duty 2 designed to take advantage of Intel's dual core and HT processors has been released.

Hot on the heels of Quake 4, Call of Duty 2 follows suit with a patch to enable the game to take advantage of dual core and HT enabled Intel processors. Infinity Ward has been working closely with Intel which has enabled them to improve the game's performance on systems with HT technology, multiple processors, and dual core processors. At this time the update is only recommended for use on systems with Intel processors. Performance boosts are said to be significant even on HT processor systems, but the biggest gains will come from using dual core or multiple processor systems.
