Battlestar Galactica Online gains over 5 million users

Brimir Class Carrier available this fall.

MMO Battlestar Galactica Online has surpassed 5 million users since its launch in February.

Starting mid-September, the game will incorporate a microtransaction system to allow users to pay real world money for basic vessels. Additionally, Brimir Class Carrier is also scheduled to become available this fall.

Battlestar Galactica Online is a free-to-play browser title based on the television series of the same name. The MMO is a recent winner of Big Browser Game in the 2011 European Games Awards.
