Battlefield 2142 due autumn 2006?

A trailer for the game has appeared on a popular video hosting website, but is it the real thing?

Battlefield 2142 has been rumoured for a few months now, but a trailer showing the game in action suggests those rumours were true. While still not 100 per cent guaranteed to be real, if fake the people behind the video have gone to a lot of effort.

Hosted on popular video website YouTube, the trailer seems to originate from PC Gamer magazine, and shows the new futuristic route the series is taking. While soldiers still run about the battlefield, they're joined by mechs, cloaking devices and other hi-tech looking weapons of war.
