IGames Battlefield 2 special event

iGames is to host a special event to promote the launch of Battlefield 2.

IGames and EA have announced a series of special events to promote the June 21st (UK June 24th) release of Battlefield 2. To get things kicked off a two day premier will take place at 82 game centres on June 24-25. Battlefield 2 will also feature at the all night LAN/WAN party, WANdemonium! V on July 2nd. A showcase of the game will take place at 276 IGames member centres on July 11-24. This two week showcase will lead to a ladder competition ending with a National Championship taking place July 25 - October 23.

The events are presented by Intel and sponsored by Nvidia/XFX with the prizes on offer estimated to be in the region of $20,000. For more information about the events taking place check out the iGames website.
