Battlefield 2 slips to June. Xbox 2 Modern Combat this year

Digital Illusions' financial report reveals a number of key release dates.

The report which was released last week confirms that EA's massive mid-year PC release, Battlefield 2, will not make it out until June 2005. Perhaps more interesting than that is that the report confirmed Battlefield Modern Combat for release on PlayStation 2, Xbox and "Microsoft's forthcoming platform" before the year is over.

While release dates change more often than underpants, this is another indication that we will see Microsoft's successor to the Xbox this year. We'll just have to wait until E3 in May to get any concrete information.
