Rocksteady Studios has released the second patch for the PC version of Batman: Arkham City, which corrects the save corrupting bug that has been affecting users since the game's launch in November 2011.

The update will even recover some save files previously corrupted, though this will not work for every corrupted save.

The patch is already out on Steam, and is expected to hit Games for Windows Live and Origin soon.

The contents of the patch in full:

  • Occurrences of Save File Corruption
  • Achievement re-locking issues
  • Crossfire/SLI Issues

    • Graphical flickering
    • FPS improvements when running crossfire

  • Instances of 32 bit memory problems
  • Improvements to performance in cut scenes and death taunts
  • Error messages removed when patching the game and improved patching process

Batman: Arkham City received a 10/10 review from VideoGamer.com because it's really, really good. Admittedly, though, we reviewed it on 360 and our save didn't get eaten up.

We also said it was the second best game of last year. SECOND BEST!
