Batman: Arkham City out autumn 2011
An all-star cast of classic characters and murderous villains.
Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment and DC Entertainment have announced Batman: Arkham City, the follow-up to the hit video game Batman: Arkham Asylum.
Developed by Rocksteady Studios, Batman: Arkham City promises to build upon the intense, atmospheric foundation of Batman: Arkham Asylum, sending players soaring into Arkham City, the new maximum security "home" for all of Gotham City's thugs, gangsters and insane criminal masterminds.
Set inside the heavily fortified walls of a sprawling district in the heart of Gotham City, the sequel introduces a brand-new story that draws together a new all-star cast of classic characters and murderous villains from the Batman universe, as well as a vast range of new and enhanced gameplay features.
A Game Informer cover has also confirmed that Catwoman will be one of the new characters to appear in the game. It also looks like Two Face will make an appearance, with his unmistakable... erm, face appearing on a poster behind Batman.
Batman: Arkham City will be available for Xbox 360, PS3 and Games for Windows PC in autumn 2011.

It was my personal favourite game of last year - I can understand what some people say about the boss fights being a bit repetative and easy - but i thought Arkham Island was an incredible play ground - some great twists thrown in - fantastic atmosphere with flawless voice acting and music and it looked lovely too.
Maybe there was more there for the fans of the comics though.

Just such a shame triple-A titles are announced so far in advance, as the waiting is the hard part!
