Assassin's Creed Brotherhood for PC won't feature an always-on DRM, Ubisoft has revealed.

Assassin's Creed II required PC gamers to remain connected to the internet, with the game pausing should the connection drop at any time.

Brotherhood will instead require an initial login, after which point an active internet connection won't be needed. An internet connection will of course be required to take part in multiplayer.

Assassin's Creed Brotherhood will be released for PC on March 18, with four versions offering various bonus items available.

PC gamers would prefer DRM-free releases, but Ubisoft's less strict login to play system should cause much fewer headaches.
