Both PlayStation 4 and Microsoft's next-generation Xbox could be released by November, Assassin's Creed 4: Black Flag's creative director Jean Guesdon has suggested.
Guesdon inadvertently hinted at the consoles' release timing during an interview with Outside Xbox when quizzed over the next-generation versions of Assassin's Creed 4.
Asked whether there will be a delay between "all the versions" immediately after discussing the next-gen release, Guesdon replied: "Same ship".
"We have a strong engine, you know, we have AnvilNext and we are always pushing the limits," Guesdon said. "So this year again we are ready to support such new capacities, new abilities. So the game will be ready for that but also, you know, we make it for current-gen obviously from a certain point."
Assassin's Creed 4: Black Flag is due to release in North America on "every available platform" on October 29, and in the UK on November 1.
Sony previously announced a 'Holiday 2013' release date for PlayStation 4, but hasn't confirmed which territory/territories the date applies to.
Microsoft has yet to announce its next-generation Xbox.
