Ubisoft has confirmed that, as has been much rumoured, Assassin's Creed is to be released on the PC.
Following a full preview of the PC version of the game in the latest issue of PC Gamer, Ubisoft has decided to say something official concerning the existence of a PC version of the much discussed game. Speaking to GameSpot a Ubisoft rep said: "Assassin's Creed PC will indeed see the light some day. Details will be provided at a later date."
Assassin's Creed is also expected to be announced for the Xbox 360, although at this time the title has only been officially announced for the PlayStation 3 (not counting the PC confirmation). The PlayStation 3 game is scheduled for release in 2007, but there's currently no release information for the PC version.
