The Buzz: That's according to reports claiming Ubisoft officially confirmed the game's development on PC and Xbox 360 at the IDEF 2006.
Since the game was announced by Ubisoft for release only on PlayStation 3, it's been heavily rumoured that Assassin's Creed is also on its way to Xbox 360 and PC. Well, for a short period of time it appeared as though Ubisoft had let the cat out of the bag, supposedly confirming the game's existence during the Interactive Digital Entertainment Festival in France.
Whatever was or wasn't said at the festival, Ubisoft is now denying any such event. Ubisoft's UK Community Manager posted the following over at the Ubi.com forums:
"Ubisoft have confirmed no such thing. Assassin's Creed will come on PlayStation 3 and at this time, no other platform has been confirmed."
We still think the game is coming to the Xbox 360 and PC though, with Sony likely having secured some form of timed exclusive.

Project Assassin on the Xbox 360
Project Assassin on the Xbox 360!!!!!!!! This was shown at the X05 on Xbox 360, LONG before the PS3. This game will come out on the Xbox 360 with a different name, because the Xbox 360 version will be so much superior in terms of online play.
