Ashes Cricket 2009 set for August 7

Official game of this summer's Ashes series is coming to Xbox 360, PS3, PC and Wii.

Codemasters has announced that Ashes Cricket 2009, the official video game of this summer's Ashes series, will be released on August 7 for Xbox 360, PS3, PC and Wii.

The game promises to deliver all the drama of the nPower Ashes series at the five official grounds, plus Test match, One Day International and 20 over games. The 360, PS3 and PC versions all offer full online multiplayer, while the Wii edition will have players using the Wii Remote to perform batting and bowling motions.

Xbox 360, PS3 and PC versions are developed by Transmission Games, while Gusto Games is handling the Wii edition.

i think this game sounds really good but i think it wud have been even better if it was compatible with motion plus becuase u wud have been able to place shots and flick the bat alot more realistically but i still cant wait till it comes out,,,pre ordered it already

I really want to play this! And by what you say I take it I could say play as England V New Zealand etc in a one day international not just play the ashes? if what I read is true, this will basically be like Cricket 07 :D.

Hopefully we will see a Demo, because a cricket game will live and die by its gameplay mechanics
